St.Giles Niche Market is back this weekend for a special two-day Christmas market, kicking off Friday with a “Champagne shopping experience.”
Market manager Scott Gelston said 50 Tasmanian makers were lined up for the two day event.
“We’ve had a huge response from our makers to the Friday Night and Saturday market format, with some new makers and old favourites lined up for this event,” Mr Gelston said.
“We’ve got a pair of new ceramicists with very different styles coming along, a new food vendor, and lots of our favourites from markets past like artist Christina Graham coming along.”
Launceston based artist Christina Graham has been a long running supporter of St.Giles and the Niche Market and will be making her return to the market after missing the previous instalment.
“Christina is such a talented artist, someone who has been exhibited in museums, run her own workshops and built a substantial base of followers and really we feel incredibly lucky to have someone of her calibre attending our market,” Mr Gelston said.
The St.Giles Niche Market will be held at The Tramsheds, with Matsons Group offering a lucky door prize on the Friday night, consisting of four high-tea vouchers for use at The Gorge Restaurant.
St.Giles Niche Market has been running for 15 years with over $200,000 raised for St.Giles through this fundraising event.
