Explore Mobility options with our Seating Clinician and qualified Physiotherapist Sarah Lovick.

Sarah has recently returned to St.Giles, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to our Assistive Technology service.

Working from our Lenah Valley centre, Sarah works with clients to optimise their function and participation by assessing and prescribing the right Mobility Device for each individual.

St.Giles Tech are utilising Sarah’s considerable experience in assessing for, prescribing, applying for and fitting of complex assistive technology.

St.Giles has a large range of Mobility and Seating Devices available for clients from all ages and stages in life.

Previously Sarah’s work has involved several years in the areas of Complex disability, Spinal cord injury rehabilitation and Neurological Physiotherapy.

With extensive knowledge of manual and power wheelchairs, seating systems, complex walking and standing frames, modified bikes, Sarah is able to work with clients from low to high complexity Assistive Technology needs.

Sarah has Post graduate training in Neurological Physiotherapy (Grad Dip in Neuro Rehab) a dedication to professional development through ARATA, ATSA, the Oceana Seating Symposium and supplier-based training to ensure evidence-based practice and the most up to date product knowledge.

St.Giles are taking referrals for new and returning Assistive Technology clients.

Get organised

You may have a number of different appointments with doctors and specialists – so start a notebook of all conversations and appointments. Keep all documents together in a single folder – you will need to keep receipts, invoices, forms etc…

Review funding options

Every case is unique. StGiles can help you identify the services to meet your needs and the best funding option available for your situation.

Funding options include:

  • Medicare plans
  • Private health
  • NDIS
  • Self-funded: you can pay the full fee without any funding.

NDIS Support Coordination

If you are eligible for the NDIS, it may take several months for your funding and Plan to be approved. StGiles can assist you with NDIS plan co-ordination and management (including some or all of the funding including financial, legal and administrative requirements).

Once you have an approved NDIS Plan, it is up to you to choose a Disability Service Provider(s). StGiles offers an extensive range of services for both adults and children living with disability.
