St.Giles is seeking Disability Support Workers who are skilled in working with children with complex backgrounds, challenging behaviours and emotional dysregulation to join our support services team in the North West of Tasmania. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to children with complex backgrounds and autism.
- Understand and address the complexities involved in supporting children with challenging behaviours.
- Together with Frontline Leader, develop and implement strategies to manage emotional dysregulation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
St Giles requires the following from you:
- Minimum qualification of Certificate III in Disability Support Services.
- Experience in the health or disability sector.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in working with autism, complex behaviours and emotional dysregulation.
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise workload with minimal supervision to achieve required outcomes.
- High attention to detail, with strong written and verbal communication and customer service to maintain effective workplace relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of NDIS and participant/family centred practices is desirable.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Current or ability to apply for National Police Check (no older than 3 months).
- Current or ability to apply for Working with Vulnerable People Card/NDIS Worker Screening Check.
