A cornerstone of our multi-disciplinary Allied Health team, St.Giles Speech Pathologists have been making a positive contribution to the lives of children, adolescents, adults, their families and communities for decades.

We are currently seeking dedicated Speech Pathologists in roles statewide to join our team as we offer Whole of Life solutions to Tasmanians living with disability.

St.Giles is a trusted Tasmanian provider dating back to 1937 and offers services ranging from Allied Health to Community Support and Assistive Technology solutions with a large base of existing clients across the whole of Tasmania.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and report on communication and swallowing disorders, organise and implement treatment for participants, and work with staff and families/caregivers on possible intervention strategies.
  • Advocating for communication support for participants with communication difficulties.
  • Providing mealtime management plans and helping to improve mealtimes.
  • Select and utilise appropriate evidence-based practices and service delivery methods and review regularly.

St Giles requires the following from you:

  • Professional qualification in Speech Pathology with an active membership of Speech Pathology Australia, or a willingness to attain it.
  • Willingness to undertake intrastate travel to deliver services in other locations, and some outside normal hours work, as need arises.
  • Knowledge of NDIS and participant/family centred practices is desirable.
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • National Police Check (no older than 3 months).
  • Current or ability to apply for Working with Vulnerable People Card/NDIS Worker Screening Check.
