As part of our whole of life solutions expansion, we are seeking skilled Disability Support Workers to join our support services team. This role focuses on working with individuals with complex trauma backgrounds, challenging behaviours and emotional dysregulation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to children with complex trauma backgrounds.
  • Understand and address the complexities involved in supporting children with challenging behaviours.
  • Together with Frontline Leader, develop and implement strategies to manage complex emotional dysregulation.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.

St Giles requires the following from you:

  • Minimum qualification of Certificate III in Disability Support Services.
  • Experience in the health or disability sector.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in working with complex trauma and emotional dysregulation.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise workload with minimal supervision to achieve required outcomes.
  • High attention to detail, with strong written and verbal communication and customer service to maintain effective workplace relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of NDIS and participant/family centred practices is desirable.
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Current or ability to apply for National Police Check (no older than 3 months).
  • Current or ability to apply for Working with Vulnerable People Card/NDIS Worker Screening Check.
