Join our exciting 6 week program

St.Giles Launceston is now home to Mini Woolies!

Mini Woolies replicate a Woolworths supermarket on a smaller scale, designed as a learning and educational tool for those looking to gain employment and life skills.

Participate in a 6-week structured program designed to develop essential workplace skills within our
simulated supermarket setting. Receive tailored guidance and support as you build confidence, achieve personal goals, and prepare for employment in the retail sector. What You Will Learn:

Retail Work Experience
Gain practical experience in a retail environment, learning essential customer service skills, teamwork,
and workplace responsibilities.
Workplace Readiness and Career Exploration
Understand real-world work conditions and explore various job types. Learn how to identify employment
opportunities and navigate the job application process.
Resume Writing and Interview Skills
Develop a professional resume and practice effective communication techniques to confidently engage with potential employers during interviews.
Workplace Literacy and Numeracy
Strengthen literacy and numeracy skills tailored to workplace settings, enhancing your ability to read,
write, and work with numbers in professional environments.

After you finish the program, we will help you get work experience at a Woolworths store.

Practice before trying to get a real job – Our Mini Woolies store provides you with training in preparation
to join the workforce.

This program is suited to participants with funding for School Leaver Employment Programs (SLES), or participants wanting to build capacity to find a job.

This is the first Mini Woolies in Tasmania open to participants who have already finished their formal education, opening up learning opportunities to a large group of Tasmanians with disabilities.
