St.Giles Niche Market is back this weekend with shoppers able to purchase last minute Mother’s Day gifts from 50 Tasmanian makers
Market manager Scott Gelston was excited to be back at The Tramsheds for St.Giles first market of the year.
“I’m really excited by the list of makers we’ve assembled for this market,” Mr Gelston said.
“We’ve got lots of options for Mother’s Day shoppers with over 40 of our shoppers favourite stallholders, and an impressive 8 new makers making their Niche debut across this two-day Friday Night and Saturday market.”
Among the returning makers is skilled wood turner Elias Stent from Studio Stent.
A graduate of Bachelor of Design, Elias’s unique bowls and vases are made from highly patterned burls, with each item completely unique.

“Elias’s work is some of the most sought after at the Niche Market. He wasn’t able to attend our November market last year and I know there were shoppers who will be glad to know he’s back this weekend” Mr Gelston said.
The St.Giles Niche Market will be held at The Tramsheds, with Matsons Hospitality Group’s new café 1911 Espresso open on-site catering to shoppers at the market.
St.Giles Niche Market has been running for 15 years with over $200,000 raised for St.Giles through this fundraising event.
