St.Giles Niche Market is back this November for a special two-day Christmas market, kicking off on Friday 29th with a “Champagne shopping experience.”
Market manager Scott Gelston said the idea for the Friday night market came about following discussions with stallholders and the team from The Tramsheds.
“One of our makers remembered Niche hosting a very successful Friday night market well over a decade ago, and with the solid relationship we have with the team from Matsons and The Tramsheds, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to bring it back.”

50 Tasmanian makers will be in attendance on both the Friday night and Saturday, with Tasmanian designed, made, and created items and produce for sale with price points to suit every budget.
“Although we’re excited by the Friday night format, we wanted to make sure we kept true to our regular shoppers habits by still running the market on the Saturday as well,” Mr Gelston said.
The event will be held at The Tramsheds, with Matsons Group offering a lucky door prize on the Friday night, consisting of four high-tea vouchers for use at The Gorge Restaurant.

4x High Tea vouchers from The Gorge Restaurant are up for grabs as lucky door prizes on the Friday night.
Matson Hospitality Group director Miguel Martinez said that the lucky door prize was just one example of how their business was going over and above to help local charitable organisations.
St.Giles Niche Market has been running for 15 years and has raised over $200,000 raised for St.Giles.
