Did you know: St.Giles provides publicly funded physiotherapy services to children aged 0-18 through the Tasmanian Community Health Service in Launceston and Hobart?
We accept referrals from parents and healthcare professionals for the assessment and treatment of conditions that are short term or episodic in children such as:
- Plagiocephaly or torticollis (infant head preference or flat spot)
- Gross motor delays / developmental delays (not keeping up with peers) in babies , toddlers or school aged children
- Lower Limb Biomechanical Conditions e.g. knock knees, bow legs, flat feet, pigeon toed
- Gait Abnormalities e.g. toe walking, out-toeing, in-toeing
- Poor coordination, clumsiness, frequent falls
- Musculo-skeletal conditions e.g. Severs disease, Osgood Schlatter’s disease, Idiopathic scoliosis, JRA, Scheuermann’s disease
- Pain
The cost for these services are covered by public health funding (no out of pocket fee for parents and carers!)
*Exclusion criteria:
Children who have a permanent and significant disability who have current NDIS funding. Children located outside of the regions specified.
