Now accepting referrals in Launceston with no waitlist!

Did you know: St.Giles provides publicly funded physiotherapy services to children aged 0-18 through the Tasmanian Community Health Service?

We are currently accepting referrals from parents and healthcare professionals for the assessment and treatment of conditions that are short term or episodic in children such as

  • Plagiocephaly or torticollis (infant head preference or flat spot)
  • Gross motor delays / developmental delays (not keeping up with peers) in babies , toddlers or school aged children
  • Lower Limb Biomechanical Conditions e.g. knock knees, bow legs, flat feet, pigeon toed
  • Gait Abnormalities e.g. toe walking, out-toeing, in-toeing
  • Poor coordination, clumsiness, frequent falls
  • Musculo-skeletal conditions e.g. Severs disease, Osgood Schlatter’s disease, Idiopathic scoliosis, JRA, Scheuermann’s disease
  • Pain

The cost for these services are covered by public health funding (no out of pocket fee)

Exclusion criteria:
Children who have a permanent and significant disability who have current NDIS funding.

Get organised

You may have a number of different appointments with doctors and specialists – so start a notebook of all conversations and appointments. Keep all documents together in a single folder – you will need to keep receipts, invoices, forms etc…

Review funding options

Every case is unique. StGiles can help you identify the services to meet your needs and the best funding option available for your situation.

Funding options include:

  • Medicare plans
  • Private health
  • NDIS
  • Self-funded: you can pay the full fee without any funding.

NDIS Support Coordination

If you are eligible for the NDIS, it may take several months for your funding and Plan to be approved. StGiles can assist you with NDIS plan co-ordination and management (including some or all of the funding including financial, legal and administrative requirements).

Once you have an approved NDIS Plan, it is up to you to choose a Disability Service Provider(s). StGiles offers an extensive range of services for both adults and children living with disability. Our services can be tailored to meeting individual needs, delivered individually or as a package, and can change as your needs evolve.
