Pricing Policy

St Giles Society Limited’s intention is to deliver quality services that are outcome focussed and support participants and families achieve their goals in a safe manner, within pricing that is considered reasonable and measured.

This policy aims to:

  • Provide information about our commitments to participants and families about how we set our prices and fees for services.
  • Confirm participants rights when purchasing services and how we support and uphold these.

As a registered NDIS provider, we align with and follow the NDIA’s recommendations and price guidelines regardless of whether services are funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme or not.

We recognise that not all of people living with a disability are eligible for NDIS funding or may wish to access services or supports that are not covered in their plans. Therefore, we have suitable payment options available to assist when privately funded services and supports are being sought.

St Giles reserves the right to review pricing every 6 months and advises that prices may change at this time. This will be scheduled to occur in July and January of each financial year. An announcement will be provided on our website of any price changes 14 days before the price change is to occur.

More information regarding the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Pricing Limits can be found by visiting; https://www.ndis.gov.au/providers/pricing-arrangements

Participant Rights

All participants have the right to access quality services and purchase goods relating to their needs, that complies with the Australian Consumer Law. To support this, St Giles ensures that information promoted and shared about our wide range of services remains accurate and current, and that thorough intake and enquiry processes are embedded within our operations to ensure that tailored solutions and service offerings are planned and clearly communicated as to not mislead or misrepresent participants.

For more information about your consumer rights, please refer to the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC)’s website.

Service Agreements

Regardless of whether participants are accessing NDIS or Non-NDIS related services from us, St Giles will ask you to enter into a Service Agreement prior to any services commencing.

The purpose of these agreements includes but is not limited to;

  • outlining our commitment to you, including our responsibilities,
  • defining participant responsibilities, and what we expect of individuals and families,
  • clarifying key terms and provide general information of our services and processes,
  • document the services being agreed to and confirm payment methods.

Service Agreements will either include a Schedule of Support(s) and/or Quote for Service(s)/Product(s) relevant to the individual needs.

Fees and Charges

The services and supports we provide are billed at the hourly rate relevant to the service being provided, with any work undertaken agreed to in advance. We will be transparent about our charges and ensure that these are accurately itemised and/or claimed for via the confirmed payment methods. In addition, our payment terms are defined on our invoices and/or meet the general NDIS claiming rules.

St Giles will not charge above the NDIS price limit for any support that is price‑capped.

When St Giles refers to a Therapy Hour, we mean a standard consultation of 60 minutes in duration. Within this time allocation, our therapist / therapy assistant will work with participants and families to meet the identified therapy goals.

When St Giles refers to a Support Hour, this reflects a standard rostered hour of 60 minutes in duration. Within this time allocation, support workers provide assistance to support participants with and work towards identified goals, in line with their personal preferences.

Please Note: There may be times where the duration of the standard consultation or rostered support hour varies and runs over time. Adjustments to pricing in these instances will not occur for any variances of 15 minutes or less, however, any variances over 15 minutes will be charged accordingly.

St Giles also works on participants behalf by undertaking necessary actions such as coordinating services and supports, sourcing equipment, documenting session notes, preparing thorough reports and/or referrals, and attending multi-disciplinary case meetings. These non-face to face activities may be charged at the relevant hourly rate that directly link to the services they align with and will be further clarified within the individualised Services Agreements.

Non-face to face activities does not include administrative tasks that are associated with our operations that are included within the organisation’s overheads, such as but not limited to the coordination of resources and staffing, corporate functions and service implementation.

Travel

St Giles will charge fees for travel in accordance with the relevant services delivered. This may include charges for kilometres travelled as well as the time spent travelling, and wherever possible, St Giles will minimise travel costs through efficient scheduling and coordination of services within our regions.

Cancellations

We remain committed to delivering the services and supports that have been agreed to with our participants and/or families, however where this is not possible and cancellations arise, we refer to our Cancellation Policy.

Financial Hardship and Debt Management

If participants are experiencing financial hardship for privately sought products and services, we encourage individuals and families to reach out in advance and discuss suitable options with us prior to individual circumstances becoming unmanageable.

As a safeguarding measure, St Giles monitors and maintains oversight of service agreements to ensure that we are not overservicing and/or exhausting NDIS funding in manner that does not align with the services being agreed to. We do however maintain an expectation that participants and families will communicate and advise the organisation of any change of circumstances that may impact on funding, ensuring that there are sufficient funds to pay for the supports provided by St Giles at the time they are provided.

Where monitoring identifies that NDIS funding may be insufficient for services delivered, St Giles will proactively discuss options with participants and families to manage funding responsibly. Participants are encouraged to notify us of changes in circumstances so that we can collaboratively adjust services or schedules.
