Not on the NDIS or awaiting a new plan or diagnosis? Not a problem!

St.Giles are the Tasmanian partner of Access Tech, Ability First Australia’s affordable Assistive technology pilot program.

Offering affordable, high-quality refurbished assistive technology products available for rental or purchase, Access Tech features a range of mobility and postural support items available to browse and select online.

Purchased items may require adjustment by your Therapist or Allied Health team, while rentals offer flexible support for independence and accessibility.

Access Tech is an innovative pilot program designed to make Assistive Technology (AT) more accessible for people with disability across South Australia and Tasmania, and soon to be expanding to other states. Unlike many programs, Access Tech is open to anyone under the age of 65 with a disability, including NDIS and non-NDIS clients. Our goal is to provide an affordable refurbished AT rental service to empower individuals, enhancing their independence and community participation.

Through this program, we offer Refurbished Assistive Technology Solutions

  • Assistive Technology Rentals: Short- or long-term access to essential assistive technologies, meeting individual needs without the need for permanent purchases.
  • Assistive Technology Sales: Refurbished assistive technologies to enhance daily living and independence, with options for customisation.

The pilot program will gather insights and feedback from participants to evaluate its impact and refine our services, aiming to expand access and improve quality for more people.

Rental equipment provided by St.Giles through the Access Tech program must be signed off by your Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist prior to the collection of the equipment.
