St.Giles Senior Manager Support Services, Donna Crompton, has been selected to join the influential NDIS Sector Consultation Forum, which provides the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission’s insights on the delivery of services and supports.
As a Tasmanian voice on the Forum, Ms Crompton will be able to share with the Commission real time insights of the challenges and innovations being made by Registered Tasmanian NDIS Providers, and in turn the families and clients they serve.
With 20 years’ experience working in the disability sector, including 14 in the United Kingdom, Ms Crompton is well placed to advocate for the sector.
“Being able to influence and have a voice in ongoing improvement is really important to me. Working across both the UK and Australian disability sectors has given me valuable experience in policy, training and reform, and I’m keen to contribute those insights in ways that continue to strengthen services and outcomes here in Australia.” Ms Crompton said.
This passion for continual improvement in the delivery of disability services comes from her upbringing, acting as a young carer for her two brothers and parents, all of whom have varying disabilities, and quickly moving into advocacy for both her family members and young carers like herself.
Ms Crompton joined St.Giles in early 2025 and remains dedicated to the principles which have defined her career; person‑centred service design that upholds voice, choice, autonomy, and meaningful participation within the community.
“At St.Giles we’re thinking about how we can set people with disabilities up for the future, to be more active in their communities. Our programs such as Brewing Potential and Mini Woolies are all about capacity building and providing positive experiences and outcomes so they can go on to work experience and supported employment if they choose.”
