Diana Butler

Director

Appointed as Director 2020
Diana is an experienced Director and leader within the Tasmania Health and International Aid
Landscape. She currently holds the roles as CEO of Care for Africa Foundation and as After House
Nurse Manager at the Launceston General Hospital and former Emergency Nurse.
In 2006 Diana co-founded Care for Africa Foundation to address: poverty and gender equality; lack
of water; medical; educational and enterprise services in Tanzania’s Tarime region. 
In 2012 Diana was awarded the Tasmanian Telstra Business Women’s Community and Government
and in 2016 she was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2016, both for her humanitarian
work in Tanzania. Diana has been an active member of the Rotary Club of South Launceston since 2008. In 2019 Diana was appointed a member of the Risk and Audit Committee Australasian College
of Sports and Exercise Physicians. Diana is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company
Directors.

You may have a number of different appointments with doctors and specialists – so start a notebook of all conversations and appointments. Keep all documents together in a single folder – you will need to keep receipts, invoices, forms etc…

Review funding options

Every case is unique. StGiles can help you identify the services to meet your needs and the best funding option available for your situation.

Funding options include:

  • Medicare plans
  • Private health
  • NDIS
  • Self-funded: you can pay the full fee without any funding.

NDIS Support Coordination

If you are eligible for the NDIS, it may take several months for your funding and Plan to be approved. StGiles can assist you with NDIS plan co-ordination and management (including some or all of the funding including financial, legal and administrative requirements).

Once you have an approved NDIS Plan, it is up to you to choose a Disability Service Provider(s). StGiles offers an extensive range of services for both adults and children living with disability. Our services can be tailored to meeting individual needs, delivered individually or as a package, and can change as your needs evolve.
