Megan Bloom
Megan Bloom is a highly experienced Speech Pathologist with 30 years of dedicated service in the disability sector. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Speech Pathology from La Trobe University (1994) and has built a diverse career across Australia, working in areas including acquired brain injury, progressive neurological conditions such as MND and MS, mainstream and specialist education settings, and assistive technology services. Megan has also worked with an Australian supplier of speech-generating devices, further deepening her expertise in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
In 2023, Megan relocated to Tasmania and joined the allied health team at St Giles, where she currently serves as the Clinical Lead for Speech Pathology. Her role spans clinical leadership, mentoring, and direct service provision across the state, as well as a caseload with the Technology and school teams. She supports speech pathologists statewide and thrives in multidisciplinary environments, where she is known for her collaborative approach and commitment to knowledge-sharing.
Megan is passionate about AAC and regularly contributes to the development of future professionals through student supervision and guest lecturing at the University of Tasmania, particularly in the newly established Master of Speech Pathology program.
