The canapes are ordered, the wine chilled and auction items collected:
In two weeks’ time guests at St.Giles Sparkling Gala will be enjoying themselves at St. Johns Church, dancing to the sounds of jazz, bidding on unique auction items and of course enjoying some fine Tasmanian produce.

All of this fun is not without a purpose though, as the funds raised at this event will be used to support St.Giles plans to recommission the hydrotherapy pool within the former Newstead Heights School alongside their base in Newstead.
“The idea for the Sparkling Gala event was something we developed with our friends at Matson’s, after deciding to make our fundraising night both more affordable for guests and a little less intimidating for those who might not want to go to a full black-tie at an event,” event manager Scott Gelston said.
Mr Gelston said St.Giles had received really strong support from across community for this event, with more than thirty local businesses donating auction items to help with the fundraising efforts.
“We’re lucky to have a huge range of auction items up for grabs on the night, with everything from hot-laps at Symmons Plains, through to original artworks, hotel stays, and adventure trips.”
“It’s going to be a pretty memorable night out.”
Guests will enjoy fine food from Matson Catering, sparkling wine from Delamere and beer from Van Dieman Brewing, and music from Launceston jazz ensemble Blush Number 5.
